Job summary

Dexter House Healthcare is seeking an Activities Assistant to provide group and individual activities for residents, promoting an engaging and joyous atmosphere. You will assist in planning, transport residents to activities, and facilitate programs focused on geriatric engagement.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent; prior long-term care experience is a plus. The role supports a resident-centered environment with confidentiality and teamwork as core values.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior long-term care experience preferred.
• Ability to interact with residents and families with compassion.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Activity Director in planning and implementing activities.
• Transport residents to activities as needed.
• Facilitate engaging activities for residents.
• Participate in quality improvement activities (QAPI).
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality at all times.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and independence.
