Job summary

Monarch Communities in Basking Ridge, NJ is seeking a Part-time Program Assistant and Van Driver to engage residents across Independent, Assisted, and Memory Care, while planning activities and transporting residents to appointments, events, and shopping.

Reporting to the Director of Programming, the role requires a clean driving record, strong communication, and willingness to work flexible hours; prior experience with seniors is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in leading activities for seniors (1–2 years)
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Willing to work flexible hours
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new apps
• Ability to drive the community vehicle for resident outings
• High school diploma or higher preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and implementing activities for residents
• Create resident histories and family-involved profiles
• Set up and clean up daily activities
• Create monthly social program calendars and distribute them
• Keep residents engaged between planned activities
• Drive to medical appointments, events, and shopping trips
