Job summary

Monarch Communities is seeking a Program Assistant and Van Driver to implement resident activities across Independent, Assisted, and Memory Care communities. The role includes driving residents to appointments, events, and shopping, with training provided for those with transferable skills from elder care.

Hours are Sunday and Monday 9am–5pm, with a pay rate of $17.00–$19.00 per hour. Candidates should have a HS diploma or higher and a clean driving record; flexibility and strong communication

Qualifications

Experience planning activities for seniors is preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Willing to work flexible hours.
Proficiency with basic computer applications (MS Office).
Ability to drive the community vehicle for outings.

Responsibilities

Assist with planning and implementing activities for residents.
Create resident histories and profiles with family involvement.
Set up and clean up daily activities.
Create monthly social program calendars and distribute them.
Drive residents to medical appointments, events and shopping trips.
