Qualifications

• Able to work independently and follow scheduled plans.
• Respect for the rights of residents including privacy and choices.
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers at all levels.
• Proficient computer and Microsoft applications skills.
• Ability to work with a culturally diverse population.
• Must have positive communication skills and maturity.
• Proficient in English language (verbal and written).
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Prioritize workload, demonstrate initiative, and analyze situations.
• Maintain calm, professional demeanor under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities as directed by the Director of Lifestyle and in accordance with each resident's plan of care.
• Chaperone scheduled activities away from the facility grounds.
• Help maintain a pleasant and cheerful nursing home environment.
• Help with decorations, plants, and displaying mementos in rooms.
• Deliver and read mail as needed.
• Assist with other tasks as directed by the Director of Lifestyle.
• Attend facility in-services and lifestyle department trainings.
• Continue the lifestyle program in the absence of the Director of Lifestyle.
