Job summary

Arbors at Streetsboro in Streetsboro, OH is seeking a Resident Activity Assistant to organize and participate in person-specific activity programming, including one-to-one interventions and small or large group activities. You'll document participation in the resident medical record.

You will help create a stimulating, comforting environment, lead activities, support family and residents, and contribute to seasonal events while using biopsychosocial approaches.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assists the resident activity director as needed.
• Utilizes the environment to provide comfort and stimulation to residents.
• Fosters a sense of community within the center environment.
• Leads and participates in individual and group activities.
• Utilizes models such as pet therapy, music therapy, and art therapy in programming.
• Assists with decorating for events and seasonal celebrations.
• Develops monthly calendars for residents and families.
• Participates in recreational programs for residents in their rooms.
• Promotes volunteer efforts in the community.
• Maintains records of activities and attendance.
• Stores equipment and cleans areas after activities.
• Supports resident well-being using a biopsychosocial approach.
• Provides comfort/ support to residents and families when needed.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.
