Job summary

Fvrehab in United States is seeking a Recreation Aide who is energetic, caring, and team-oriented to support resident activities and programs. You will assist in running programs, engage residents to determine interests, and work with the Recreation Director to organize calendars.

The role requires weekend availability, COVID-19 vaccination, basic data entry skills, and prior recreation experience with geriatric populations is preferred. Bilingual abilities are a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be upbeat, energetic and have a caring personality.
• Great customer service skills.
• Must be vaccinated for COVID-19.
• Must be available to work weekends.
• Ability to work effectively as a team member.
• Basic computer/ data entry ability.
• Previous experience as a Recreation Leader preferred.
• Previous experience with geriatric population preferred.
• Bilingual is a plus (Creole, Russian, Chinese).

Responsibilities

• Assist in running recreational programs that meet residents' interests.
• Engage new residents to determine their interests.
• Work directly with residents on the units or off Units.
• Assist the Recreation Director to set up programs, implement and cleanup programs as needed.
• Organize and obtain supplies and equipment as requested.
• Keep daily attendance and document residents’ participation in activities.
• Assist residents to program location and return residents to appropriate units.
• Collaborate with Recreation Director to create/modify the recreation calendar and coordinate with outside parties to implement recreational activities.
• Be familiar with established emergency procedures.
• Delivered mail in daily basis.
• Other duties as assigned.
