Cottingham Care Community is seeking an Activities Aide to support planning, organizing, and delivering engaging activities for residents in a long-term care setting.

You will work closely with the Activities Director to tailor activities to individual needs and ensure a safe, enjoyable social environment. The role emphasizes empathy, teamwork, and clear communication with residents and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing recreational activities for residents.
• Lead and facilitate group activities such as games, arts and crafts, music sessions, and exercise programs.
• Adapt activities to residents with different mobility and cognitive abilities.
• Engage with residents to promote participation and monitor safety.
• Document resident attendance and participation in activities per facility policies.
• Set up and clean activity spaces and assist with special events.
