Job summary

Paycom is seeking an Activities Aide to assist in planning, organizing, and implementing recreational and therapeutic activities for residents in a long-term care setting. You will work with the Activities Director to tailor programs to individual needs and interests, promoting social, physical, emotional, and cognitive engagement.

You will lead group activities, encourage participation, and adapt sessions to varying mobility and cognitive levels.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior experience in activities coordination or elder care preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; patient and empathetic.

Responsibilities

Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing daily, weekly, and monthly activities for residents.
Lead and supervise group activities such as games, arts/crafts, music, and exercise sessions.
Adapt activities to residents' mobility, cognitive levels, and personal preferences.
Engage residents individually to encourage participation and social interaction.
Monitor safety and well-being during activities and provide feedback to the director.
Document attendance, preferences, and participation; help with event setup and cleanup.
Help organize special events and coordinate with volunteers and staff.
