Job summary

Journey is seeking an Activities Assistant to support the Activities Director in creating engaging monthly calendars, coordinating group and one-on-one activities, and organizing events and outings for residents.

You will conduct resident interviews to tailor activities, encourage participation, and track attendance. You will observe moods and participation and report changes to the Activities Director to ensure quality care and meaningful engagement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CNA certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Activities Director in planning, creating, and posting a monthly calendar of activities.
• Conduct interviews with residents or family members to understand activity preferences, facilitate participation, and document attendance and responses to activities.
• Monitor residents' moods, behavior, and involvement during activities, and report changes or concerns to the Activities Director.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

CNA certification (preferred)
