Lancaster Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Lancaster, PA is seeking a highly organized Director of Resident Activities to plan, organize, implement, and evaluate activity programs that meet residents’ emotional, recreational, and social needs.

The role involves developing schedules, coordinating materials, compiling forms and progress notes, and ensuring compliance with federal and state standards. The position emphasizes quality assurance and collaboration with interdepartmental staff.

Qualificações

• Previous long-term care experience is desirable.
• 2 years experience as a Supervisor or long-term care Activity director under a Certified Activity Consultant.
• Graduate of an accredited high school or GED preferred.
• Post-secondary education in a related field is desirable.
• Computer knowledge is desirable.
• Must be in good physical and mental health.
• Ability to work independently or part of a group.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, organize, implement, evaluate & direct the Resident Activity Programs.
• Develop and maintain activity schedules; provide craft supplies and reading materials.
• Ensure forms, reports, and progress notes describe services and residents’ responses.
• Coordinate activity programs, assessments, and discharge planning where needed.
• Develop and coordinate departmental policies; review annually and propose changes.
• Monitor federal and state regulations related to activities.
• Interview residents/families as needed in private settings.
• Develop, implement, and maintain a quality assurance program for the activity department.
• Document activity progress notes with resident responses.
