Job summary

White County Rehabilitation and Nursing is seeking an Activities Director to create meaningful and engaging programs that support the interests, abilities, and quality of life of our residents.

This full‑time position plans and coordinates activities, develops programs based on residents’ needs, and organizes seasonal events, entertainment, and special programs while encouraging participation and independence.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with elderly individuals required.
• CNA certification preferred.
• Recreation or activities experience preferred.
• Degree in Recreation or previous experience as an Activities Director or Recreation Assistant preferred.
• Positive, outgoing personality.
• Strong organizational, planning, and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate individual and group activities.
• Develop programs based on residents' interests, abilities, and needs.
• Organize seasonal events, entertainment, and special programs.
• Encourage resident participation and independent activities.
• Assist residents to and from activities as needed.
• Maintain an engaging and positive activities environment.
