Job summary

MediLodge of Sterling in Sterling, MI is seeking an Activities Aide - PRN to join our resident-centered team. You will organize and participate in one-to-one, small group, and large group activities and document participation in the medical record.

The role supports resident well-being through biopsychosocial approaches, using therapies such as pet, music, and art when appropriate, and you will help plan events and monthly calendars while engaging families and the community.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assists the resident activity director as needed.
• Provides comfort and stimulation to residents.
• Leads and participates in individual and group activities.
• Utilizes varied models (pet/music/art therapies) for programming.
• Decorates the facility and prepares for events.
• Develops and posts monthly calendars.
• Participates in recreational programs for residents in rooms.
• Promotes volunteer efforts in the community.
• Maintains records of activities and attendance.
• Cleans and stores activity equipment after use.
• Supports resident well-being using a biopsychosocial approach.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.
