Job summary

Qualifications

  • Minimum qualifications include holding a DVM degree from an AVMA-accredited or listed veterinary school and obtaining veterinary licensure in Mississippi.
  • Licensure in Mississippi requires passing the NAVLE exam before graduation.
  • Veterinary students or Veterinarians who did not attend an AVMA-accredited veterinary school must also complete PAVE or ECFVG.

Responsibilities

  • Perform animal autopsies and read surgical biopsies.
  • Teach veterinary students in didactic and clinical settings.
  • Contribute case material to scholarly activities and publications.
  • Work with affiliated pathologists and participate in diagnostic investigations.
