Job summary

Fairview Skilled Rehab & Nursing Home in Queens is seeking a Limited Doctor/Physician to gain hands-on experience in geriatric and rehabilitative medicine. The role supports residency matching and mentorship, offering direct patient care with multidisciplinary collaboration.

The position targets recent medical graduates and IMGs seeking U.S. clinical exposure to strengthen residency applications, with flexible part-time/full-time opportunities in a skilled nursing setting.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of USMLE Step 1 & Step 2 (preferred).
• Eligible for a Limited License or Temporary Physician Permit.
• Strong interest in geriatric, rehabilitative, and internal medicine.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or rehabilitation settings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive medical evaluations for residents and rehabilitation patients.
• Develop and oversee treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
• Manage acute and chronic medical conditions within a skilled nursing facility setting.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff to provide the highest quality of care.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment plans in the EMR system.
• Participate in case discussions and care planning meetings.
