Job summary

National Louis University’s National College of Education in Chicago seeks a dynamic educator to join as Assistant Director of Residency Programs within the School of Teacher Preparation. This is a full-time, 12-month administrative faculty position on the Professional Practice track, with rank commensurate with qualifications.

The role oversees all residency programs, coordinates with PK-12 and higher education partners, supports the director, and champions diversity, equity, and inclusion in

Qualifications

• Earned doctorate in Education or related field; able to defend dissertation within a reasonable time after hire.
• Experience conducting applied research in classrooms/schools/districts and higher education teaching.
• Leadership experience in education settings.
• Able to model excellence in teaching with online and in-person modalities.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in the Residency Programs.
• Provide leadership, management and administrative oversight to NCE Residency Programs, including workload management, curriculum, assessment, scheduling, and technology development.
• Coordinate and Lead Supervisors; oversee field-based requirements and supervision support throughout the school year.
• Engage with external stakeholders to ensure program design meets employer needs and contribute to curriculum development.
• Support University marketing and enrollment management processes.
• Engage in faculty life through committees, professional development and collaborative projects.
• Fulfill other faculty duties in research, service and scholarly activities.
