Loyola University Chicago is seeking an Assistant Director of Residence Life in Chicago to lead 4-5 Residence Directors and shape the learning communities program across campus. The role emphasizes collaboration, crisis management, and staff development to enhance the residential experience.

The position requires a Master’s degree in College Student Personnel or related field, and a willingness to work evenings/weekends.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in College Student Personnel, Higher Education/Student affairs or related field.
• Experience in residence life or student affairs.
• Ability and willingness to work varied hours including evenings and weekends.
• Proven leadership and supervisory skills.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise and evaluate 4-5 full-time professional Resident Directors.
• Manage daily operations of Learning Communities programming and staff training.
• Develop programs and initiatives for residents, focusing on learning communities and residential curriculum.
• Foster collaboration with campus offices to design policies and support initiatives.
• Support housing processes including opening/closing, housing selection, and inspections.
• Serve on-call rotation for emergencies and crises.
• Oversee residential student leadership programs (RHA, NRHH).
• Perform other duties as required.
