Job summary

National Louis University seeks an assistant professor, non-tenure track, to lead the Teacher Leader Program within the National College of Education. You will guide curriculum, assessment, scheduling, technology development, and ISBE compliance while collaborating with faculty, schools, and professional organizations.

You will advance a research agenda, mentor candidates, and help expand pathways and partnerships across PK-16.

Qualifications

• Earned doctorate in Educational Leadership or related field.
• Experience leading teacher leadership initiatives at school or district level.
• Record of conducting applied research in classrooms or districts.
• Excellence in online teaching with adult learners.
• Experience obtaining personnel preparation or research grants is a plus.
• Experience advocating at state policy level is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and administrative oversight to the Teacher Leader Program.
• Teach courses in the Teacher Leader Program.
• Oversee clinical hour requirements in the program.
• Oversee the Teacher Leader endorsement requirements for ISBE.
• Collaborate with state-level organizations to advocate for Teacher Leadership.
• Support marketing and enrollment management processes.
• Engage in the learning-community life of National Louis University.
