Job summary

The University of Louisville, in collaboration with Baptist Health Paducah, seeks a qualified Program Director for a newly forming Internal Medicine Residency Program based in Paducah, KY. The role oversees all aspects of the residency, developing curricula aligned with current medical practices and leading accreditation efforts.

Requirements include MD/DO, ABIM Internal Medicine board certification, Kentucky licensure or eligibility, and at least three years of educational/administrative

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of educational and/or administrative experience.
• Board-certified in Internal Medicine (ABIM).
• Licensed in Kentucky or eligible for license in Kentucky.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, accreditation, and long-term success of Baptist Health Paducah's residency program.
• Develop advanced curriculum, training methods and materials for residents.
• Evaluate residency applicants using documented criteria.
• Coordinate recruitment and onboarding of internal medicine residents.
• Liaise with University of Louisville GME leadership and Department of Medicine leadership.
• Serve on committees representing the residency program.
