Job summary

University of Louisville is seeking a Program Director for a new Internal Medicine Residency Program based at Baptist Health Paducah. The role requires board certification in Internal Medicine, Kentucky licensure, and proven educational leadership to build, accredit, and sustain the program.

The candidate will oversee curriculum development, resident recruitment, and coordination with UL SOM and GME leadership, while advancing inpatient and outpatient training environments.

Qualifications

• Board-Certified MD/DO with valid Kentucky license and ABIM Internal Medicine certification.
• Minimum of three years of job-related experience.
• Three years of documented educational and/or administrative experience.
• Currently practicing clinically in the state of Kentucky.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, accreditation, and long-term success of Baptist Health Paducah's Internal Medicine Residency Program.
• Develop advanced curriculum, training methods and materials for residents.
• Evaluate residency applicants using documented criteria.
• Coordinate recruitment and onboarding of internal medicine residents.
• Serve as liaison with University of Louisville SOM and GME leadership; participate in relevant committees.
• Develop inpatient/outpatient medical practice for educating residents.
