Job summary

Baptist Health Paducah is seeking a Program Director to oversee the Internal Medicine Residency Program, ensuring high‑quality training for residents. The role focuses on curriculum development reflecting current medical practices and collaboration with University of Louisville's GME leadership.

The incumbent will lead accreditation efforts, participate in recruitment and onboarding, and act as a primary liaison for the residency program, shaping both inpatient and outpatient training

Qualifications

• Must be Board-Certified in Internal Medicine (ABIM).
• Licensed to practice medicine in Kentucky or able to obtain license.
• Minimum three years of educational and/or administrative experience.
• Minimum three years of clinically active practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, accreditation and long‑term success of Baptist Health Paducah's residency program.
• Develop advanced curriculum, training methods and materials for residents.
• Evaluate residency applicants using documented criteria.
• Oversee recruitment, interviews and onboarding of residents.
• Liaise with University of Louisville School of Medicine and GME leadership.
• Participate in committees and serve as primary liaison for the residency program.
• Develop inpatient and outpatient medical practice.
