Job summary

MultiCare Deaconess Hospital in Spokane, WA seeks an Associate Program Director for Inpatient Training to join the Internal Medicine Residency leadership. The role starts at 0.5 FTE with a planned move to 1.0 FTE by June 2027, providing program administration, education, and clinical duties.

The APD-IM will support the Program Director, supervise residents and faculty, and contribute to scholarship, teaching, and governance within a dynamic residency environment.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted Washington State medical license by the time of employment
• At least 1 yr experience teaching in a residency/fellowship environment (GME)
• Physician leadership/administrative experience preferred
• Board certified & clinically active in Internal Medicine
• DEA, NPI & state prescriptive authority by the time of employment
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification by the American Heart Association

Responsibilities

• Leads the clinical & educational leadership of the faculty team
• Models exemplary professionalism
• Participates in recruitment of new residents
• Engages in individual and team scholarly activities
• Supports the Program Director and assumes the Director's responsibilities when absent
