Job summary

MultiCare Deaconess Hospital in Spokane, WA seeks an Associate Program Director for Inpatient Training to join the Internal Medicine Residency program. The APD-IM will support the Program Director, splitting time between administration, teaching, precepting and patient care.

The role requires a WA medical license, Board certification in Internal Medicine, and teaching/leadership experience, with a path to 1.0 FTE. Strong clinical and scholarly credentials are essential.

Qualifications

• Licensed physician with WA license by start date.
• Board certified and clinically active in Internal Medicine.
• Experience leading residency education initiatives is preferred.
• DEA, NPI and prescriptive authority required by employment time.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates MultiCare values; adheres to policies and procedures.
• Leads faculty team in clinical and educational activities.
• Evaluates residents and students; mentors and teaches in inpatient/outpatient settings.
• Develops curriculum and supports program administration and scholarship.
• Participates in recruitment and scholarly activities; supports program director.
