Job summary

The Center for Disability Services in the Capital Region seeks an Assistant Manager to oversee residential operations and supervise Direct Care Staff under the Program Manager. You will ensure staffing, quality services, and supportive care for the people we serve.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, NYS driver's license, at least 1 year in relevant fields, and the ability to lift 50 pounds. Growth opportunities exist within the organization.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree preferred.
• Valid NYS driver's license in good standing.
• At least 1 year of experience in developmental disabilities, mental illness, TBI or geriatrics.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily operational needs of a residence including Direct Care staff and the people we support as directed by the Program Manager.
• Provide direct care to residents and assist the Program Manager in supervising Direct Care staff.
• Ensure staffing ratios, performance appraisals, and services are delivered with quality and excellence.

Skills

Valid NYS Driver's License

Ability to lift 50 pounds

Minimum 1 year related experience

18+ years old

Education

High School diploma or equivalent

Associate’s degree preferred
