Salary Range: $66,400 - $68,000

Description

The Manager oversees the daily operations of the residential facility, including staff supervision, treatment planning, and maintenance of the physical environment, to ensure quality services for residents. They also support the functioning of emotionally disabled adults to prevent hospitalization.

Essential Functions

• Ensure adequate shift coverage and alert the Program Coordinator of staffing issues.
• Communicate schedules and responsibilities to staff and monitor adherence.
• Manage documentation such as house logs and goal progress.
• Implement behavioral support plans as needed.
• Attend meetings at schools or day treatment programs and communicate professionally.
• Conduct monthly clothing inventories and monitor medication distribution weekly.
• Coordinate medical appointments and ensure medication orders are placed.
• Complete and review quarterly drug regimens with pharmacists and document contacts with external programs and families.
• Conduct fire drills and ensure supplies are adequate.
• Follow agency policies, attend meetings, and maintain effective team relationships.
• Report staff performance issues and medical concerns of individuals.
• Perform responsibilities in staff shortages, provide training, and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Rehabilitation Counseling, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Experience: At least 3 years working with developmentally disabled populations, preferably in a residential or clinical setting.

Additional Requirements: 3 years of managerial experience, successful completion of Medication Administration Course within 90 days, excellent management and communication skills, competency in documentation, proficiency with computers and MS Office, valid NYS Driver’s License, and willingness to obtain SCIPR certifications.
