Job summary

Livingstone College is seeking a Residence Hall Director for the 12‑month, full‑time, live‑in role in the Residence Life office within the Student Affairs division. You will report to the Dean of Students & Residence Life and oversee a residential community, staff supervision, and community standards to support student success.

You will supervise RAs, coordinate programming, manage administrative operations, and respond to incidents and emergencies, ensuring an inclusive, safe living environment

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in residential programming, residence life, student affairs, or related areas.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate Resident Assistants (RAs) and other student staff.
• Address student behavior concerns and enforce residence hall policies.
• Develop and promote educational, social, cultural, and wellness programs within the residence hall community.
• Respond to emergencies, student crises, and after-hours incidents; provide crisis intervention and referrals.
• Oversee daily administrative operations of the residence hall and maintain housing documentation.
