Job summary

The University of Georgia in Athens seeks a Residence Hall Director to lead one or more residence halls with live‑in responsibilities. This role focuses on creating safe communities, supervising student staff, advising student groups, and implementing the Dawg Path Residential Curriculum to support student learning.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree (or higher) with experience in housing. The position is full time, requires office hours Mon–Fri 8 a.m.–5 p.m.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent.
• Master’s degree in Higher Education or related field preferred; or Bachelor’s with 3 years of applicable full-time experience.
• Experience in Housing and Residence Life or curriculum model is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select, train, supervise, and evaluate student staff.
• Provide ongoing mentorship and feedback to staff.
• Develop and assess departmental training for student staff.
• Oversee desk operations, key control, and budget management.
• Support residence hall desk operations and staff supervision.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate department policies and procedures.
