As a school recognized for academic excellence and committed to a holistic experience for our students, the South Carolina Governor's School for Science & Mathematics (GSSM) invites applications for Residence Life Coordinators (RLC). The main responsibilities for the RLCs are to develop and supervise the residential living environment for one floor of a residence hall, housing approximately 48 high school juniors and seniors. This includes planning and implementing programs and activities that promote community and follow the residential curriculum developed by the department.
Job Functions include the following:
The Residence Life Coordinator is a full-time live-in 10-month position with the state of South Carolina that is paid over 12 months with full benefits, including an apartment with amenities. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with education, experience, and unique qualifications. This position is a non-exempt, overtime eligible position. There are also potential opportunities for employment during the summer months.
Minimum Requirements:
At minimum, applicants must have a bachelor's degree in a human service-related field and comparable experience. Candidates with a master's degree in student affairs, administration, education, sociology, or related field are welcome.
