Job summary

Saint Louis University is seeking a Residence Hall Coordinator (RHC) for the Department of Housing and Residence Life. The role focuses on graduate housing operations, student learning, and community development within university housing facilities.

The RHC will supervise front desk operations, assist with assignments, and collaborate with faculty, staff, and student leaders to support academic success and inclusive communities. Evening/weekend duties and structured autonomy are expected.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Supports undergraduate housing, learning communities, and student leadership development.
  • Acts as on-call first responder for campus emergencies and coordinates with campus partners.
  • Uses Maxient to track student incidents and manage cases.

Bachelor's degree

This position requires the ability to have direct interactions with professional staff, faculty, and students, including student leaders and student staff. This position administers assignments processes under the direction of the Assistant Director for Assignments & Marketing and supervises front desk operations for housing where applicable. Schedules are influenced by student and community needs. There will be times throughout the year when the SHRC is expected to work evenings and weekends. IX Office in response to issues/incidents in the areasAssists with incident debrief meetings and the Behavioral Concern Committee through providing information and updates on students of concern.Tracks and assesses intervention efforts for reporting purposesCollaborationCollaborates with Student Involvement, International Student Services, Graduate Education and Campus Ministry to support student growth and developmentCollaborates with Assistant Director for Undergraduate and Graduate Student Programming to host/market/promote programming opportunities for studentsSupports division strategic priorities and University-wide common core learning outcomesAssists campus partners with student recruitment initiativesCommunity Standards and Student ConductServes as a hearing
