Job summary

ADAPT Community Network in New York is seeking a Residence Program Specialist to support the care and independence of individuals in a residential facility. The role emphasizes dignity and a homelike environment while providing direct support and advocacy.

The ideal candidate must have a High School Diploma, preferred experience in care, and AMAP certification within six months. This position offers compensation of $20.17/hour and industry-leading benefits.

Qualifications

• Six months of related experience is preferred, but not required.
• Employees must be approved Medication Administration Personnel (AMAP) at time of hire.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and safeguarding the rights of the people we support.

Responsibilities

• Provides care and supports the people we support in achieving greater independence.
• Documents daily activities and medical emergencies accurately and timely.
• Participates in housekeeping and meal preparation to promote nutrition.

Skills

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to respond to crisis situations

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Valid New York State Driver’s License
