Job summary

Air Products is seeking a highly motivated Specialist Electrician to support operations across the Midwest and southeastern United States on a residence-based basis. The role involves leading maintenance crews, diagnosing complex electrical issues, and coordinating with engineering and operations teams to ensure safe and efficient execution.

Travel is significant and may include international trips. A strong background in high voltage equipment and a willingness to be available for 24/7 plant

Qualifications

• Experience in petrochemical and manufacturing industry preferred.
• 5+ years in low, medium and high voltage electrical maintenance, start-up or commissioning environment.
• Supervisory experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform and/or supervise inspection, repair, installation, troubleshooting, modification, and maintenance of electrical equipment including motors, transformers, generators, switchgear, and distribution systems.
• Support electrical reliability and maintenance activities across plants, ventures, subsidiaries, and third‑party facilities.
• Diagnose equipment issues and provide technical expertise to resolve electrical and control system failures.
• Develop refurbishment procedures for worn components and oversee repair and spare parts replacement.
• Provide technical decision‑making support for major repairs, overhauls, and reliability initiatives.
• Develop detailed work scopes for repairs, rebuilds, and overhaul projects.
• Coordinate with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to ensure safe and efficient execution.
