Job summary

Hilcorp Energy Company invites Geoscience interns to join our Houston office. Interns will work with asset teams, conduct reservoir studies, analyze well logs, and prepare structure and net pay maps to quantify reserves.

They will evaluate project economics, make recommendations on recompletions, workovers, and drilling, and present findings to management during the summer. Applicants should have a BS in Geology or Geophysics; MS students with more than one year remaining are encouraged to

Qualifications

• GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
• BS in Geology or Geophysics required; MS students with >1 year remaining encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Conduct reservoir studies by analyzing well logs and correlating data.
• Create structure and net pay maps and quantify oil and gas reserves.
• Evaluate project economics and recommend recompletions, workovers, and drilling.
• Prepare and present findings to management during and at the end of the internship.
• Adhere to Hilcorp values and maintain punctual attendance.
