Job summary

Hunt Oil Company is seeking a Reservoir Engineer Intern for the Dallas, TX office to support the Western Region Subsurface group. The paid summer internship includes housing if needed and will involve multiple reservoir and production engineering projects focused on Bakken assets.

The role requires a rising junior or senior in petroleum engineering with a minimum 3.0 GPA, strong presentation and communication skills, and the ability to work with field personnel and technical staff.

Qualifications

• Rising junior or senior pursuing an undergraduate degree or master's in petroleum engineering.
• Minimum 3.0 grade point average.
• Previous internship experience preferred.
• Extracurricular activities are a plus.
• Presentation and communication skills are a must.
• Ability to communicate with field personnel and technical staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist the subsurface team with calculations and assessments for field development and budgets.
• Research and evaluate producing properties, reserves, and upside potential of active regions.
• Prepare property recommendations for future well work and drilling opportunities including economic and technical analysis.
• Interface with a multidisciplinary team.
• Present results to management.
