Munich Reinsurance America, Inc is offering a Corporate Reserving Actuarial Intern position for Summer 2027 in Princeton, NJ or New York City, NY. The intern will support reserving analyses, develop quarterly monitoring analyses, and collaborate with Actuarial Analysts and Actuaries on a reserving project.

Open to all undergraduate and graduate students with preferred majors in Actuarial Science, Data Science/Analytics, Economics, Mathematics, or related fields.

Qualifications

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills are required.
• Preferred majors include Actuarial Science, Data Science/Analytics, Economics, Mathematics, Risk Management, Statistics.
• Additional STEM majors such as Accounting, Computer Science, Engineering, Physics may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Support segment-level reserving analyses, including technical checks of actuarial analyses, large-loss research, and loss development pattern selections.
• Assist with the development of quarterly monitoring analyses and presentations.
• Work closely with an actuary on a reserving project and collaborate with actuarial staff across the department.
• Analyze and visualize data to communicate findings clearly for management decisions.
• Deliver an end-of-internship presentation to the department.
