Job summary

Munich Re invites a Corporate Reserving Actuarial Intern to join our Princeton, NJ or New York City, NY team for Summer 2027. You will work with Actuarial Analysts on reserving analyses and assist with quarterly monitoring. Open to all undergraduate and graduate students; preferred majors include Actuarial Science, Data Science, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or STEM.

Strong Excel, communication, and leadership are essential; one CAS/SOA exam is a plus. U.S.

Qualifications

Preferred majors include Actuarial Science, Data Science/Analytics, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or STEM fields.
One CAS/SOA actuarial exam is preferred.

Responsibilities

Support segment-level reserving analyses, including technical checks of actuarial analyses, large-loss research, and loss development pattern selections.
Assist with the development of quarterly monitoring analyses and presentations.
Work closely with an Actuary on a reserving project and collaborate with Actuarial Analysts, Actuaries, and other key individuals across the department.
Analyze and visualize data to communicate findings clearly and support management decision-making.
Deliver an end-of-internship presentation to the department.
