Qualifications

• Must possess high school diploma or equivalent and be enrolled in a Criminal Justice related degree program or have attained sixty (60) fully-accredited college-level credits.
• Must be 18 years of age, United States citizen and resident of Wisconsin for one year.
• No felony convictions, good health, pass agility test, pre-appointment investigation and pre-employment drug screening.
• Valid Wisconsin Driver's license required; ability to follow directions and make quick decisions.

Responsibilities

• Operate a law enforcement vehicle on patrol and drive with expertise in high-risk conditions.
• Respond to calls for service professionally; provide resolutions to requests and maintain composure under stress.
• Investigate property damage, trespassing, and missing persons; pursue appropriate actions.
• Train in radar use and enforce traffic laws; issue citations for observed violations.
• Maintain safety policies and perform tasks in a safe, prescribed manner.
