Job summary

Walworth County Sheriff's Office seeks certified law enforcement officers to join a dedicated team providing 24/7 patrol services with rotating 8.25-hour shifts. The agency offers extensive collateral duties, training, and opportunities for advance placement based on prior LE experience.

Candidates must meet education and experience requirements, reside in Wisconsin, and pass standard background checks. A strong emphasis is placed on community relations, public trust, and professional conduct.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 60 college credits or an associate degree preferred.
• Two years of full-time law enforcement experience with LESB certification acceptable.
• Must be at least 21 years old and possess a valid driver's license.
• Applicants must not have disqualifying felony convictions and must be credible witnesses in court.

Responsibilities

• Investigate crimes and vehicular accidents.
• Enforce state statutes, county ordinances, and traffic laws.
• Conduct business and residence checks during patrol.
• Write and compile reports; testify in court when required.
• Transport prisoners to and from holding facilities and court.
