This paid, 12-week internship places you alongside experienced reservation specialists, where you will learn to guide guests toward stays that reflect their individual interests while developing consultative sales, communication, and problem-solving skills. Through daily guest interactions, cross-departmental exposure, and an experiential project, you will see how thoughtful recommendations, operational precision, and exceptional service come together to create memorable experiences, drive revenue, and build guest loyalty.

What You Will Create
  • Memorable stays shaped around each guest where you engage with guests by phone, email, and web chat to understand what matters to them, then thoughtfully connect their preferences to accommodations, amenities, activities, events, dining, and other resort experiences
  • Confidence through informed recommendations as you build a strong working knowledge of resort offerings, schedules, hours of operation, and local destinations so you can provide polished guidance that helps guests envision and plan an exceptional stay, both on and beyond the property
  • Opportunities from every inquiry where you develop consultative sales skills through inbound conversations, voicemail follow-up, and outbound leads, learning how thoughtful questions, personalized recommendations, and clear communication can turn interest into a reservation
  • Precision behind every stay as you create accurate reservations and process gift card orders while developing the attention to detail and operational judgment required to uphold Forbes Five-Star and AAA Five-Diamond service standards
  • Ideas that strengthen the reservations experience when you contribute to team projects that improve resources, tools, knowledge, and processes, while supporting data-driven reporting that helps the team understand performance and make informed decisions
  • Solutions to real guest needs while you gain practical experience navigating guest concerns, resolving challenges, and supporting office operations, while learning how reservation and revenue teams balance service, efficiency, and business priorities
  • A broader view of luxury hospitality as you participate in structured training and departmental shadowing to understand how teams across the resort collaborate behind the scenes to create a seamless guest journey
What You Can Expect
  • A fast-paced, guest-focused environment where every conversation provides an opportunity to influence a future stay and strengthen confidence in the resort experience
  • Daily exposure to luxury hospitality sales, reservations strategy, guest communication, and cross-departmental collaboration, with opportunities to develop transferable skills in consultative selling, problem resolution, organization, and office operations
  • Structured training, shadowing, and mentorship designed to expand your understanding of resort operations beyond the reservations function
  • A 12-week, full-time internship with a commitment to consecutive participation throughout the program
  • A schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays based on guest demand and operational needs
  • An experiential learning project that allows you to explore an internship-specific objective and connect academic learning with practical hospitality experience
  • The opportunity to build professional confidence, industry knowledge, and a foundation for continued growth in luxury hospitality, sales, reservations, or revenue-focused careers
What You Bring
  • Genuine curiosity about people and an ability to translate what you learn about guest preferences into thoughtful, personalized recommendations
  • Confident, warm communication skills across phone, written, and in-person interactions, paired with exceptional telephone etiquette and professional language
  • A service mindset grounded in attentive listening, thoughtful responses, reliable follow-through, and genuine care
  • The ability to manage multiple conversations, priorities, and technology systems while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
  • Composure and resourcefulness when navigating challenges, with the initiative to seek effective solutions
  • A strong desire for personal and professional growth, with enthusiasm for learning from experienced hospitality professionals
  • Pride in representing a luxury hospitality experience with professionalism and energy
Qualifications
