Job summary

Gibson Dunn in New York is seeking a Research Technology Librarian to manage library systems, optimize resource platforms, and lead data-driven decisions for the RIM department. The role partners with IT on integrations and advances in GenAI research resources.

You will administer Quest and Onelog, coordinate licensing, and generate utilization analytics to support leadership with strategic recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; MLS (or equivalent) preferred.
• 5+ years in a law firm or professional services setting; AmLaw 100 experience preferred.
• Experience administering library systems and research platforms; Quest a plus.
• Strong analytical skills with utilization reports and data-driven recommendations.
• Experience with IT teams on system integrations, upgrades, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the primary RIM liaison with IT for library systems and platforms; handles upgrades, integrations, and issue resolution.
• Evaluates and supports GenAI resource integration; partners with IT and vendors on pilots and rollouts.
• Administers Quest as the department's research request and operations platform; ensures configuration and workflow integrity.
• Administers Onelog and other ERMS; maintains licenses, registrations, renewals, and access.
• Produces analytical reports on resource utilization and cost-recovery; provides strategic recommendations to RIM leadership.
• Coordinates resource purchasing, registrations, renewals, password maintenance, and copyright compliance for electronic resources.
• Collaborates with vendors to maintain access to subscriptions and manages license terms.
