Job summary

Gibson Dunn, based in New York, is seeking a Research Technology Librarian to lead the administration and optimization of the RIM library systems and resource platforms. You will act as the primary liaison between RIM and IT, overseeing upgrades, integrations, and troubleshooting while supporting data-driven decision-making for leadership.

The role emphasizes innovation, GenAI resource evaluation, and cross-functional collaboration with attorneys and staff in a fast-paced, hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; MLS preferred.
• 5+ years in a law firm or professional services.
• Experience administering library systems and research platforms.
• Experience with IT teams on integrations and troubleshooting.
• Strong analytical skills with utilization reports.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary liaison between RIM and IT for library systems.
• Evaluate GenAI research resources and pilot rollouts.
• Administer Quest as centralized research platform.
• Maintain Onelog and other electronic resource platforms.
• Produce analytical cost-recovery and utilization reports.
• Coordinate training for attorneys and staff on resources.
• Stay updated on new products and services and provide assessments.
• Maintain documentation aligned with SharePoint and intranet.
