Mayo Clinic's Sammarco Laboratory in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery seeks a Research Technologist to support a growing program focused on cellular and molecular mechanisms of musculoskeletal regeneration. The role combines cell culture, animal handling, imaging, and molecular assays to advance regenerative therapies.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree or an associate degree with substantial lab experience.
• Experience with cell culture, animal handling, and histology strongly preferred.
• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative lab environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammalian cell culture and mouse handling for projects in musculoskeletal regeneration.
• Carry out tissue processing, histology, and immunohistochemical assays.
• Operate microscopy, acquire images, and perform quantitative image analysis.
• Conduct standard molecular biology assays (qPCR, Western blotting, RNA/DNA isolation).
• Manage data, assist in figure preparation, and contribute to manuscripts.
