Responsibilities

St. Josephs Hospital and Medical Center and the Barrow Neurological Institute (BNI) are recognized for clinical and research excellence in an academic medical center setting. They conduct laboratory-based research and patient-oriented clinical studies with international collaborations. The institutions also offer educational experiences across various levels. Administrative functions ensure ethical and responsible research conduct and facilitate research management and collaboration with other units.

We are seeking a RESEARCH TECHNICIAN to perform complex and novel procedures as a laboratory professional with a high degree of independence under the supervision of a Principal Investigator (PI). The technician will develop and utilize scientific methods for experiments, guide laboratory personnel, and maintain expertise on laboratory matters.

This role is vital to the success of St. Josephs Hospital Medical Center and aligns with our Mission of Dignity Health.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• Two (2) years of experience in a research, clinical, or scientific environment.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Knowledge of laboratory techniques and the scientific method.
• Basic computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Four (4) years of experience in a research or scientific environment.
• MS Degree.
• Ability to improve performance continually.
