The Genomics Shared Resource (GSR) is looking for a highly motivated individual for the position of Research Technologist. The Research Technologist is responsible for performing a variety of genomics assays including DNA/RNA extraction and QC, gene expression analysis using RT-PCR, high-throughput PCR applications, Next Generation sequencing, and microarray analyses. Additional duties include routine maintenance of equipment, purchasing reagents/consumables, and assisting with compliance with local and federal guidelines. This position requires excellent molecular biology and organizational skills. The pay range is $48,515 - $61,525 annually, which includes a comprehensive benefits package. The listed pay range reflects the potential compensation for this role; the actual offer may vary based on qualifications, skills, and experience.
Required Education and Experience
Experience in NanoString, NGS library prep, and Sanger sequencing are highly preferred.
