This position will be filled at the Technologists 2 level. At Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL), we solve national security challenges through excellence! The Plutonium Capability Transuranic Waste Management group's (NPI-6) Acceptable Knowledge team seeks a highly motivated Research Technologist to perform technical work requiring advanced knowledge in science or engineering. Projects typically require technical depth and understanding, contributing to development, implementation, and completion of project objectives.
Regulations: Demonstrated safety and security compliance, adherence to all Laboratory and industry regulatory guidance.
Skills: Experience in technique development, research goal fulfillment, scientific principles, experimental processes, data gathering, and verification.
Leadership/Followership: Ability to work collaboratively, supervise research activities, prepare documentation, and contribute to scientific publications.
Skills/Experience: Depth of knowledge through experience, certification, or education; problem-solving skills; publication experience.
Education: A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and 5 years related experience, or equivalent education and experience.
