Projects typically require technical depth, contributing to development, implementation, and completion of objectives. NPI-6 offers opportunities to learn new skills in a supportive environment, emphasizing how we do our jobs as much as what we do. Our team members adhere to nuclear management requirements, working independently on challenging projects that require cooperation, adaptability, initiative, and support to meet LANL's National Security Mission.

Acceptable Knowledge (Research) Technologist 2 Responsibilities
  • Mentor technicians and/or technologists 1s.
  • Lead and review activities of other employees.
  • Check work through consultation and agreement rather than formal review.
  • Develop specifications for project implementation in your area of specialty.
  • Oversee work and verify that the end product meets expectations and requirements.
