POSITION DETAILS
A Research Technologist position is available in the Fox Lab, Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine, Penn State College of Medicine, Hershey, PA. The role involves pre-clinical research on opioid use and stress disorders.
Responsibilities include mouse husbandry, colony management, lab supplies, experiments, and data recording. Extensive mouse handling and tissue collection are required; animal handling experience is necessary.
The candidate should be comfortable with rodents, familiar with techniques like PCR, gel electrophoresis, and eager to learn new methods.
The candidate should be detail-oriented, organized, able to follow instructions, and work independently.
The role involves collaboration with graduate students and postdocs on studies related to substance misuse, social stress, behavior, and brain circuits.

Salary & Benefits
