The Penn State College of Medicine seeks a full-time Research Technologist responsible for assisting in biomedical engineering tasks and managing project billing. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree and related experience, contributing to both laboratory procedures and data management.
POSITION SPECIFICS
The Penn State College of Medicine, Department of Surgery, Division of Applied Biomedical Engineering is seeking a full-time Research Technologist. A successful candidate will have a demonstrated interest in biomedical engineering and animal research. They will be responsible for performing a variety of job duties, including: assisting in complex in vivo and in vitro procedures, experiments, and tests; handling biological fluids and bacteria; working with the Comparative Medicine department to treat samples from animal experiments; design and follow IACUC protocols; and collecting, entering, and analyzing data along with testing the integrity of the data. This position will also manage project billing to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
