North Carolina State University’s Burclaff Lab is seeking a motivated Research Technician to support experiments, assist with lab management, and help maintain data integrity in cellular metabolism studies. The role spans hands-on research and core lab oversight within a collaborative team.

The ideal candidate will have prior lab experience, familiarity with mammalian cell culture and molecular biology techniques, and a commitment to accurate documentation and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.
• Experience in mammalian primary cell culture (establishment and maintenance) and molecular biology techniques.
• Experience in mouse colony management and in vivo experimentation.

Responsibilities

• Execute experiments using animal models, cell lines, and primary cultures.
• Oversee day-to-day operations, equipment, and inventory.
• Maintain accurate records, manage scientific data, and contribute to publications and grant applications.
• Proficient in standard lab equipment, troubleshooting, computers, and data management tools.
• Foster a collaborative, organized, and independent work environment.
