The Multicultural Alzheimer’s Prevention Program (MAPP) in the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences is an initiative to advance our understanding of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias and prevent cognitive decline in diverse populations.

Working under the general guidance of the Program Director (Dr. Yakeel T. Quiroz), the Research Technician will support the prevention research program through community outreach, participant recruitment, cognitive testing, data entry, neuroimaging data analysis, and manuscript preparation.

Required Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, psychology, neuroscience, or related fields.
  • 1-3 years of experience in clinical or brain imaging research. Familiarity with brain imaging software (Freesurfer/SPM) is required.
  • Ability to work productively under minimal supervision.
  • Strong expertise in Unix/Linux operating systems, MATLAB, and prior experience in brain imaging research.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
