Position Responsibilities and Qualifications

Summary of Duties

The Research Technician supports ongoing research by processing biological specimens, performing histological and immunohistochemical techniques, and assisting with data management and analysis to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus two years of research/lab experience.
• Comfortable working with sharps and hazardous substances.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree in Histology or related field.
• Experience in Research or Clinical Histology Laboratory.
• Experience with digital slide scanning.
• Certifications such as ASCP-HT or ASCP-HTL.
• Ability to follow lab protocols for embedding, microtomy, staining, and reagent maintenance.

Additional Responsibilities

Includes specimen processing, laboratory maintenance, research support, and other duties as assigned.
