Job summary

Iowa State University is seeking a Research Technician II to support investigations into how environmental exposures affect ovarian function and reproductive health. You will work with a team to perform animal research, molecular biology techniques, and data analysis, contributing to studies with potential human health implications.

Qualifications

• Proficient in laboratory techniques or data analysis relevant to molecular biology and animal research.
• Experience in coordinating lab activities, maintaining records, and training personnel.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate laboratory activities and prepare reagents and materials.
• Perform animal research procedures including dosing and tissue collection.
• Conduct molecular and cellular techniques (RNA isolation, protein extraction, Western blot, immunohistochemistry).
• Collect, organize, and maintain research data with quality control.
• Prepare datasets, figures, and reports for publications and grant reporting.
• Operate and troubleshoot lab instrumentation and equipment.
• Train undergraduate and graduate personnel on techniques and safety.
